Art is a gift from above, a gift of limitless expression translated through THE spirit. I feel obligated to use this gift to create my best work possible but more importantly inspire AND TOUCH THE SOULS OF many FOLKS FROM ALL WALKS OF LIFE, through the messages that ARE embedded within my ART. I am a multimedia artist principally engaged in painting, photography, and apparel design. My passion to professionally pursue art STARTED after I created my clothing brand ‘Phantom’ in high school which was well receiveD BY MANY. The themes throughout my ART catalog visually conceptualizeS my spiritual beliefs, historical events, AND the human condition AS WELL AS THEMES OF: life, death, GOD, heartbreak, race, religion, EXISTENTIALISM, METAPHYSICS, esotericism, MASCULINITY, AND good vs evil. Regarding my photography, I capture black and white candids with a stark AND sharp, YET grainy film aesthetic that showcases everyday people from all walks of life. I SEEK TO SHOWCASE MY PHOTOGRAPHY IN A MANNER WHERE IT BECOMES OBSCURE TO THE VIEWER TO UNDERSTAND IF MY PHOTOGRAPHS ARE OF FILM OR DIGITAL… I STRIVE TO VISUALLY incorporatE thE CONFLUENCE OF FILM AND DIGITAL CAMERA TRAITS ALL WITHIN EACH PICTURE I TAKE AND ENHANCE. HENCE, my candids COME WITH AN INTENTION TO HAVE THE HEART OF A DIGITAL, BUT THE SOUL OF A FILM. THE photographs are intended to demonstrate the nuanceD atmosphere and human emotion shown BY different people amongst various locations. The atmosphere of my photos are rooted in the subjects, places, and the cultural elements captured. IN REGARDS TO my PAINTING work, my paintings are composed of ABSTRACT semi-realistic portraits as well as geometric abstractions that play on emotion, subversion, and symbolism. The viewer is taken into the unknown, relying on the symbolic elements within the composition to ultimately unravel what is in question. Phantom was originally inspired by my adolescencE. The designs of my apparel represent the insurgent AND introspective themes IN REGARDS TO ADOLESCENCE. As of now, the brand predominantly takes inspiration through my faith. The ghosts that are common within my clothing and my other art represent souls, particularly lost souls separated from all that is holy. These characters are tormented, dismal, and at times gory, in need of redemption and reconciliation with God through LORD Jesus Christ. Any type of media that an artist ACTIVELY ENGAGES IN AND ANY GOALS WIHTIN THE FIELD THEY PURSUE CAN BE A PART OF a cyclic AND CONTINUOUS exploration THE ARTIST MUST UNDERGO IN ORDER to assimilate new information and convey this INFORMATION UNto others. ThESE TYPES OF explorationS cAN BE ROOTED IN the initial aims of an artist WHILE concurrently addING MORE OBJECTIVES to FUFILL, ULTIMATELY LEADING to solidify THE vision OF THE ARTIST. Art is a blessing from heaven that should not ever glorify me, but only God. I am merely a vessel. I’M VERY GRATEFUL. Ultimately, the passion is what makes my artistic journey continual...THANK YOU
